Business Development Coordinator – Special Projects +
CM Legal
A leading law firm is seeking a Business Development Coordinator for its Corporate, M&A and Securities (CMAS) Section, based in Washington, D.C. or one of several other U.S. offices. This early- to mid-level role supports the Business Development team’s operations and data infrastructure, with roughly half the role focused on AI enablement, data operations, and process automation.
The Coordinator will support marketing and BD projects from planning through execution, help coordinate events and client receptions, assist with pitch and RFP materials, and manage directory and awards submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, Law360, and similar). The role also involves basic market and competitor research, maintaining marketing collateral and practice descriptions, engaging attorneys to validate BD data, drafting internal and external communications, and managing experience databases and referral tracking.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 35 years of relevant experience in marketing, business development, data analytics, or AI/technology implementation. Law firm experience and familiarity with CRM or legal marketing tools (Foundation, InterAction, QorusDocs) are preferred, along with genuine curiosity about applying AI and automation to business processes.
Hourly pay ranges from $25.00 to $45.10, varying by location, plus bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
