A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Manager, Employee Relations and Human Resources Business Partner for its Silicon Valley office in Mountain View, California. This role serves as a trusted HR advisor and dedicated employee relations partner to assigned departments and practice groups across the firm.

The Senior Manager will independently manage a caseload of complex employee relations matters from intake to closure. They will conduct impartial investigations into harassment, discrimination and retaliation allegations with HR leadership and in-house counsel, and prepare defensible findings and reports. They will also counsel managers on performance, corrective action and sensitive conversations, including terminations and accommodations. As an HR business partner, they will coach leaders, advise on organizational structure and staffing, support performance reviews and merit and promotion decisions, and use Workday and Peakon data to spot trends. The role also includes regularly designing and delivering training on workplace conduct and manager capability, and staying current on employment law, especially in California and New York.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with recent roles focused on hands-on employee relations, plus HR business partner experience. Law firm or professional services experience is strongly preferred. The anticipated salary range is $138,000–$206,250.
